Managing Your FlyLady Membership with BigTent Groups

There are two ways to manage your FlyLady membership (remember our emails are sent via BigTent Groups).

  1. Make Changes by logging in to your BigTent Account: Use this method first. It is the fastest way to modify your membership.

  2. Manual Method: This takes longer since we have to manually process each request individually. Please make every effort to send your email from the email address that matches where you receive your FlyLady emails. Be polite when sending emails to our FLY Crew who are handling the subscription issues!

  1. Join (Subscribe) to the FlyLady BigTent Group Emails
To automatically subscribe to FlyLady, Click on https://www.bigtent.com/groups/flylady and you will receive an invitation to join via BigTent. Complete the registration information to become an "active" member of FlyLady Group. If you have tried the automatic method and are still having problems, then send an email to: Having-Trouble-Joining@flylady.net and please put "Having Trouble Joining" in the subject line. Include the email address where you want to receive the FlyLady email messages
  1. Join (Subscribe) to the FLYLifeLines Yahoo Group emails to receive basic reminders "only":
To automatically subscribe to FlyLifeLines, send a blank email to: FLYLifeLines-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. FlyLady has removed most of the basic reminders from FlyLady Group. She created FLYLifeLines Group to send reminders "only" to the members. If you have tried the automatic method and are still having problems, then send an email to: Having-Trouble-Joining@flylady.net and please put "Having Trouble Joining FLYLifeLines" in the subject line. Include the email address where you want to receive the reminder "only" emails.
  1. Not Receiving Emails or wonder if you are missing some emails from FlyLady Big Tent Group? See below - you can read emails on the web and know if you are missing any emails.
Always look in your junk/spam folder.

Add these addresses to your email address book (or safe list): FlyLady@FlyLady.net, FlyLadyKelly@FlyLady.net, no_reply@lists.bigtent.com

  1. Read emails on BigTent web.

    (To read the emails on the web, you must complete the BigTent registration & create a password to become an "active" member of FlyLady.)

    * If you haven't created a password for Bigent then go to this page to set-up your online access to the FlyLady group: https://www.bigtent.com/resend_invitation
1. Sign in to the FlyLady BigTent group: https://www.bigtent.com/log_in Enter your email address & password. * If you've created a password for BigTent but forgot it, click "Forgot your password?"

2. Once you're logged in, it may open to your BigTent home page. Click on "FlyLady" and it will open to your FlyLady home page. Click on the "news" tab located at the top of the page (2nd tab from left). "News" refers to the emails.
If you have tried the automatic method and are still having problems, then send an email to: email-problems@flylady.net and please put "trouble viewing emails on web" in the subject line.

Please include your email address where you receive the FlyLady emails.
  1. Change email option on FlyLady BigTent Group.

    You must be an "active" member to be able to change your email options.

    There are 3 email options:
    - Web only ("no emails" delivered to you, but you can read the emails on the web)
    - Email every entry (you receive every email throughout the day)
    - Daily digest (This is only one email each day containing ALL the emails sent out during the previous 24 hours. You must scroll through the messages in one email.
1. Sign in to the FlyLady BigTent group: https://www.bigtent.com/log_in

* If you've created a password for BigTent but forgot it, then click the "Forgot your password?" link
* If you haven't created a password for BigTent then go to this page to set-up your online access to the FlyLady group: https://www.bigtent.com/resend_invitation
2. Once you're logged in click on the "settings" link located at the very top right side of the page
3. Click on "email options" tab located in the column on the left side of the page
4. Click the "News" link. Next to the FlyLady news.
5. It will open to "My Email Options" and will list all the Big Tent groups of which you are a member. You'll see on the far right a column titled "How I'm Notified" with boxes beneath. Click on the arrow and a drop down menu will appear.
6. Select your email option of the 3 listed.
7. Click "Save."
If you have tried to make the change on Big Tent, and are still having problems, then send an email to the appropriate email address (see below) with the proper words in the "subject" line (see below).
  1. Stop emails from FlyLady BigTent Group when you leave on Vacation: Change to "Web Only"
Click on "Unsubscribe from emails" at the very bottom of any email you receive and it will stop your emails, but will not unsubscribe you as a member. Then when you want to start your emails again, you will need to change your email option. If you have tried to stop emails from Big Tent, and are still having problems, then send an email to: Going-on-vacation@flylady.net with "Going on Vacation" in the subject line. Include the email address you are subscribed with.
  1. Stop emails from FlyLady FLYLifeLines Group when you leave on Vacation: Change to "Web Only"
To stop receiving emails from FLYLifeLines, send a blank email to: FLYLifeLines-nomail@yahoogroups.com This email must be sent from the address where you receive FLYLifeLines emails. If you have tried to stop emails from FLYLifeLines, and are still having problems, then send an email to: Going-on-vacation@flylady.net with "Vacation FLYLifeLines" in the subject line. Include the email address you are subscribed with.
  1. When you return from Vacation:
To resume receiving emails when you are ready, follow steps #1 thru #6 above and select "every email entry" to receive every email throughout the day, or "Daily Digest" from the drop down menu under the "How I'm notified" column. Click "Save." If you have tried to make the change on BigTent, and are still having problems, then send an email to: digest-normal@flylady.net and put "Digest" or "Every Email" in the subject line. Include the email address you are subscribed with.
  1. Change to receive "Daily Digest"
To resume receiving emails when you are ready, follow steps #1 thru #6 above and select "every email entry" to receive every email throughout the day, or "Daily Digest" from the drop down menu under the "How I'm notified" column. Click "Save." If you have tried to make the change on BigTent, and are still having problems, then send an email to: digest-normal@flylady.net and put "Digest" in the subject line. Include the email address you are subscribed with.
  1. Change to receive "Every Email Entry" throughout the day
To resume receiving emails when you are ready, follow steps #1 thru #6 above and select "every email entry" to receive every email throughout the day from the drop down menu under the "How I'm notified" column. Click "Save." If you have tried to make the change on BigTent, and are still having problems, then send an email to: digest-normal@flylady.net and put "Every Email" or "Digest" in the subject line. Include the email address you are subscribed with.
  1. Change your Email Address
1. Log in to www.bigtent.com with your old email address. Click on "settings," at the top of the screen and click "change" next to your email address.

2. Click "Add another email address" and enter your new email address in the box. Click "Add."

3. BigTent will send you an email to your new email address so that you can verify it. Locate the confirmation email that BigTent sends to your new email address. Please note: The email comes from no_reply@lists.bigtent.com, so please check your spam folder if you have difficulty locating it.

4. Click the link provided in the confirmation email to verify your new address. You'll be taken back to your BigTent "settings" page.

5. Click "make primary" next to your new email address. You'll need to enter your password for security reasons.
If you have tried to make the change on BigTent, and are still having problems, then send an email to: Address-change@flylady.net and put "address change" in the subject line. Also include the OLD email address and the NEW email address in the message.

None of the FlyLady crew is allowed to change your address on BigTent, because we do not have access to your password. All we can do is unsubscribe your old address and quick-add your new address to our member list, which will generate an invitation to your new address inviting you to join BigTent to become an "active" member with your new address. You will begin to receive emails at the new address.
  1. Remove old email address from member list:
Once you have added a new primary email address, you will also have the option to remove your old email address. Remember that after you've changed your primary email address, you'll need to use the new address to sign in to Big Tent. If you've tried to remove your old address, and are having problems, send a message describing the problem, and your email address that you want removed to: email-problems@flylady.net with "Remove old address" in the subject line.
  1. Unsubscribe from FlyLady Big Tent Group:
To unsubscribe from FlyLady BigTent Group, Click on these words: "Unsubscribe from emails" located at the bottom of every email you receive from the FlyLady BigTent Group. This will allow you to read emails on the web. If you want to be removed completely from the group, click on the words, "Leave group" located at the bottom of every email.

* Notice: Your email address where your emails are being sent is included in a line at the bottom of every email you receive from FlyLady BigTent Group, "You received this email because you (email address) are a member of the Big Tent group FlyLady."
If you have tried the automatic method and are still having problems, then send an email to: Unsubscribe@flylady.net and put "unsubscribe" in the subject line.Please include ALL email addresses where you are receiving emails. * notice in column to the left

Remember, it may take a couple of business days to process this request manually.
  1. Unsubscribe from FLYLifeLines Yahoo Group:
To unsubscribe from FLYLifeLines Yahoo Group, Click on Unsubscribe located at the bottom of every reminder email you receive from FLYLifeLines. This opens an email to be sent to FLYLifeLines-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your email must be sent from the same address you have used to register with FLYLifeLines. If you have tried the automatic method and are still having problems, then send an email to: Unsubscribe@flylady.net and put "unsubscribe FLYLifeLines" in the subject line.Please include ALL email addresses where you are receiving emails.
  1. Clear Yahoo! calendar of Event Reminders
Sign in with your Yahoo! user ID & password.
Go to: http://calendar.yahoo.com
Click on OPTIONS.
Next click on TIME GUIDES in the EVENTS column.
Un-check all the groups listed to stop reminders from those groups from showing up on your calendar.
If you have tried changing this on Yahoo!, and are having problems with it, send an email describing the problem to: email-problems@flylady.net and put "trouble yahoo calendar" in the subject line.
